I love when the Universe aligns opportunity and slides it right in your diary. Just when I thought I was going to have a relaxing day at home, Ashlee Rose Photography got me on a fashion shoot for Danilza, a fashion student who needed a Hair & Makeup artist for her models.
Speaking to Danilza , she explained the original idea was to make creative things with your favourite cakes and chocolates, inspired by the creative Ostentatious cake making style we see much of on social media these days.
The designs were inspired by Cupcakes, Kinder Surprise and one of her favourite hard candies from Portugal, "Snow Flakes". The day went well and the models were beautiful, ready to go and full of energy.
We began at a photography studio and then at the Zellig Museum, Digbeth. The current exhibition at the museum is an art collection by artist, Micheal Clarke. The paintings are amazing and worked out well as a backdrop to the photographs Ashlee took. All Melanated, classy and artistic. Loved it!

With the use of sprinkles, flowers, pearls and gems. I was happy to step out my comfort zone and have fun with some creative makeup. All this was right up my street!
